The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagendra is trying hard to land a takedown here. Heap sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nagendra shoots in but Heap avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nagendra changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Heap tries to avoid it but Nagendra manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Heap to the ground. Heap escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Eildon Heap has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Montgomery Nagendra.
Nagendra shoots in but Heap avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Heap has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Nagendra jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Heap walks away with a smile on his face. Nagendra gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Heap tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nagendra paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Heap rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nagendra moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Horrible takedown by Nagendra or perhaps it was just good defense by Heap which made him look bad.

Montgomery Nagendra's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Heap creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
