Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Nolter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Trevor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Cory Trevor enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Nolter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cory Trevor!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nolter checks a leg kick nicely.
Nolter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Nolter looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Trevor!
Trevor tries to improve position but can't.

Nolter working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Trevor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nolter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trevor keeps working.
Nolter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nolter lands a big shot there that rocks Trevor but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Nolter lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Trevor is still in real trouble! Can Nolter finish him?

Nolter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Trevor is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nolter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Trevor can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Trevor is in a horrible position here. Nolter smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Trevor manages to regain half guard. Good work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nolter lands a nice short elbow.
Nolter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trevor keeps working.

Trevor is looking for a sweep. Nolter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Well, if Nolter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Nolter seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nolter is looking to take a break and control but Trevor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nolter is trying to control. Trevor wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Nolter is trying to control the action in half guard but Trevor is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Trevor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Nolter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trevor keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Nolter goes for a double leg but Trevor avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Trevor continues to drive forward.
Nolter tries for a takedown but Trevor manages to get underhooks.

Nolter gets control of Trevor's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nolter will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Trevor's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Nolter pushes Trevor off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Trevor tries to keep at a distance but Nolter has taken the fight into the clinch.

Nolter has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Trevor is trying to keep an underhook but Nolter manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Nolter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Trevor can do to turn this around?
Trevor throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Nolter scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nolter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Trevor manages to get to full guard.

Nolter stands and throws Trevor's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Trevor tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nolter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Nolter wants to control but Trevor is keeping him busy.
Trevor misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Trevor takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nolter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Trevor has escaped the position, nice work there.

Nolter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Trevor is working away from the top position though.

Nolter looks like he's trying to stand up.

Trevor looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nolter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Trevor throwing shots but Nolter is blocking nicely.

Trevor is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Trevor thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Nolter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Trevor scores with a couple of nice shots.
Trevor stops Nolter from getting back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Trevor looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Trevor thows a huge punch but Nolter dodges it nicely.
Nolter is trying to control but can't.
Nolter tries to get to full guard but Trevor has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Nolter dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Nolter tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Trevor defends well and Nolter ends up having to push Trevor into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Nolter wants to take the fight to the mat but Trevor manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Nolter is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Trevor pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Nolter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trevor prevents the takedown attempt.
Nolter jumps guard but Trevor turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Nolter tries to score a body lock takedown but Trevor shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Nolter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Trevor is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Nolter has Trevor pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nolter pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Trevor tumbling to the mat - Nolter dives into Trevor's guard.
Nick Nolter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Trevor is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Trevor has his foot on Nolter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nolter works his way back into a safe position though.

Trevor throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Nolter escapes and throws Trevor's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Trevor is looking for a sweep.

Nolter tries for a kimura but Trevor is defending well.
Nolter cracks Trevor with a big right hand but Trevor just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nolter scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Trevor to see if he's OK.

Nolter is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Trevor looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nolter gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Trevor is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nolter lets go of the hold and Trevor can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nick Nolter!
