The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krainski tries for a takedown but Soap circles away easily

and Soap counters with a nice double leg into side control. Krainski won't be happy with that.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Krainski has his takedown stuffed

and Soap counters with a takedown into side control.

Soap thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Krainski tries to buck Soap off but Soap is having none of it.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Soap's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Jackie Soap has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Soap feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Soap has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Soap takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Krainski misses with a takedown attempt

and Soap counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Soap.
Krainski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Soap slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Krainski is trying to control the position but Soap postures up.
Soap is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Krainski is looking for a triangle but Soap pushes his legs off easily.

Soap works his foot free and advances to mount.

You get the feeling that Krainski really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Krainski is just holding on here. Soap manages to take his back.
