Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Petr Jakovlev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jurendie Siberie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jakovlev comes to the cage accompanied by Devour. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Petr Jakovlev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jurendie Siberie!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siberie misses with an uppercut. Jakovlev saw that one coming.
A big left from Siberie misses.
Siberie cracks Jakovlev with an open hand slap.
Jakovlev darts in looking for a takedown but Siberie gets double underhooks and turns Jakovlev into the cage.
Siberie prevents the takedown attempt.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Jakovlev.
Siberie lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jakovlev backwards.
Jakovlev can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Petr Jakovlev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Siberie looking to slow down the pace here.
Siberie tries to land knees in the clinch but Jakovlev avoids the damage to the body.
Siberie swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Siberie lands an uppercut.
Siberie controlling the action here for a moment.
Jakovlev wants to take the fight to the mat but Siberie manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Jakovlev has Siberie pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jakovlev pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Siberie tumbling to the mat - Jakovlev dives into Siberie's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jakovlev throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Siberie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Siberie can do anything to dispel that myth.
Siberie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jakovlev is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jakovlev advances position into side control!
Siberie prevents Jakovlev from improving position.
Siberie dodges the ground and pound from Jakovlev.
Jakovlev lands a nice forearm strike.

Jakovlev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jakovlev throws a strike aimed at the side of Siberie's head but Siberie avoids it well.
Check out the look on Jakovlev's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jakovlev is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Siberie will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Jakovlev is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Siberie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Siberie is trying to get back to half guard.

Siberie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jakovlev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Siberie tries to improve position but can't.
Jakovlev landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Jakovlev creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Siberie is looking for a sweep.

Jakovlev has an Americana. Siberie didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jakovlev is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jakovlev hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Petr Jakovlev!
In his post fight interview, Petr Jakovlev gave a big smile as he said 'I was disappointed in this game and with it's engine. My passion for it has gone away. Win or loss? I don't give a shit!'.
