Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexandr Kitov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dillon Pittsenbarger!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kitov wants to clinch
and Pittsenbarger counters with a takedown into side control.
Kitov is looking to regain half guard here but Pittsenbarger keeps moving and retains side control.
Pittsenbarger controls the position.
It looks like Pittsenbarger might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Pittsenbarger tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kitov's legs.
Kitov wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pittsenbarger happy to just control the position for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dillon Pittsenbarger was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Kitov tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pittsenbarger moves into the clinch.
Pittsenbarger gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kitov regains guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pittsenbarger sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dillon Pittsenbarger.
Pittsenbarger manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kitov on his heels. He'll look to pass Kitov's guard now, I'm sure.
Pittsenbarger engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pittsenbarger drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Pittsenbarger seems to have locked his on tight now - Kitov screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Pittsenbarger, as he picks up the win!
