The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone throws a nice outside leg kick.
Malone dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Smith. That did some damage!
Malone connects with a leg kick. Smith looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Malone turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Smith walks forward, straight into a front kick from Malone.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Malone lands a big head kick that sends Smith tumbling to the mat! Malone takes a step backwards and waves Smith back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like John Smith has been cut.
Malone displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
Malone looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Good leg kick by Malone there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Malone has managed to clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Malone.
Malone lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Malone creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Smith's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Smith drops to his knees and Malone pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

After winning the bout, Banger Malone thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
