Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jet Chan!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks throws a solid leg kick but Chan takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hendricks.
Hendricks gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Chan keeps the fight on the outside.
Chan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hendricks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Chan throws a head kick that misses.

Hendricks feints and as Chan raises his hands in defense, Hendricks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hendricks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hendricks has managed to get both his arms back between Chan's legs - danger averted.

Hendricks is taking a breather. Chan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Hendricks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chan is just riding it out for now. Hendricks eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hendricks takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Hendricks stuffs the takedown attempt from Chan. Chan gets slowly back to his feet.

Hendricks is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Chan dives into side control.
Hendricks avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Chan.

Chan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hendricks, who protects the arm well.

Chan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hendricks knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hendricks is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Chan tries to move to full mount but Hendricks actually manages to regain half guard.

Chan is keen to just control but Hendricks is a slippery customer.
Chan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hendricks haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Marion Hendricks has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Chan dives in and grabs Hendricks's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hendricks pushes down on Chan's head and hops out.

Hendricks shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chan is trying to defend but Hendricks finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marion Hendricks will probably get the nod.

Hendricks swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Chan is now in Hendricks's guard. A big mistake from Hendricks there, giving up the dominant position!
Hendricks manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hendricks lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chan is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Hendricks locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Chan is forced to tap!
