Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leigh Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Starks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leigh Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leon Starks!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starks throws a right and a left that both miss.
Freeman blocks a head kick by Starks.
Freeman throws a leg kick which misses Starks's front leg but catches the back leg as Starks tries to avoid it.
Freeman moves into the clinch.
Freeman tries to pull guard but Starks won't allow it.
Freeman dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Starks is trying to break the clinch but Freeman is controlling him.
Freeman lands an elbow that stopped Starks in his tracks for a moment.
Freeman is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Starks gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Freeman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Starks wants to clinch up but Freeman keeps it at a distance.
Starks dives in and grabs Freeman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Freeman pushes down on Starks's head and hops out.
Starks closes the distance looking to clinch
and Freeman counters with a big head kick but Starks shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Starks shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Starks tries to bum rush Freeman with a series of wild strikes but Freeman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Freeman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Starks is fending him off so far but Freeman persists. Nope, Starks circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leigh Freeman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Starks looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Starks!
It looks like Leigh Freeman has been cut.
Starks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Freeman defends it nicely.
Horrible takedown by Freeman or perhaps it was just good defense by Starks which made him look bad.
Starks connects with a crisp jab.
Freeman gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Starks gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Freeman is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leon Starks!
In his post fight interview, Leon Starks started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
