The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Hopkins misses.
Hopkins takes one to the chin there.
We've been informed that Hopkins has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Wise thumps Hopkins with a low kick.
Wise avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wise drops his hands momentarily and Hopkins takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Wise looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hopkins uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wise.
Wise connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hopkins. Hopkins circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hopkins takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hopkins digs a good body shot into Wise's ribs.
Wise cracks the inside of Hopkins's front leg.
Wise misses the body punch
and Hopkins cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hopkins connects with a leg kick. Wise looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Wise dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hopkins. That did some damage!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wise bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hopkins's head.
Hopkins walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Wise checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Hopkins has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hopkins there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hopkins misses with an uppercut. Wise saw that one coming.
Wise avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Hopkins thows a left - swing and a miss!
Wise has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hopkins finds it's way round the side to connect with Wise's head.

Wise throws a big shot that misses.
Hopkins scores with a jab to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hopkins lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wise has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wise and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Wise gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hopkins drops Wise with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Wise! Hopkins dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
