The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slinga lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Thai takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Slinga takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Slinga looks to score with a jab to the body but Thai is just out of range.
Thai throws a lazy right hand but Slinga sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thai loads up on a big right hand but Slinga slips the punch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Thai.
Slinga moves to clinch but Thai breaks away
and Thai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Thai makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Slinga dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Slinga walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Thai checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Slinga pivots, looking for a leg kick but Thai is out of range and Slinga settles back down.
Slinga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thai moves away.
Thai drops his hands momentarily and Slinga takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Slinga attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Slinga tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thai paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Slinga checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Thai scoring well with a low kick there.
Thai lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Thai wants to slow Slinga down by chopping away at his legs.
Thai throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Slinga counters with a nice kick to the body.

Slinga has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Slinga doesn't manage to clinch there - Thai circles away.
Slinga tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Thai manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Thai throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Sloppy strikes from Slinga. Those never looked like landing.

It looks like Gun Slinga has been cut.
Thai tries a head kick but it misses.
Gun Slinga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slow jab from Slinga misses its intended target.

Slinga takes the fight into the clinch.

Thai escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Thai counters with a straight right hand.

Slinga throws a body punch but Thai moves out of range.
Slinga tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Some bone on bone action there as Thai checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Slinga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thai moves away.

Thai's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Slinga connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thai scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Thai feints and then cracks Slinga's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Slinga down.
A nice inside leg kick there by Thai. That's going to slow Slinga down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
