Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Masaru Hideki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dumbass McWeakhands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hideki's entrance music is I've Just Seen a Face. A fine choice. Dumbass McWeakhands told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 14 - 2, fighting out of London, Masaru Hideki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dumbass McWeakhands!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWeakhands tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hideki was well out of range. Poor timing from McWeakhands.
McWeakhands connects with a jab.


It looks like Masaru Hideki has been cut.
Hideki misses with a kick to the body.
McWeakhands uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hideki.
McWeakhands lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hideki at a distance.
Hideki bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McWeakhands's head backwards.
McWeakhands works Hideki's body with a nice hook.
Left hook, right uppercut from McWeakhands.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McWeakhands misses with a low kick as Hideki jumps back.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McWeakhands has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A slapping leg kick lands for McWeakhands.
McWeakhands lands a body shot.
McWeakhands is looking to slow Hideki down with leg kicks.
Hideki throws a nice looking combination but McWeakhands bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hideki throws a lazy right hand but McWeakhands sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hideki tries to clinch there but McWeakhands circles away.
Hideki misses with a looping left.
McWeakhands lands a nice hook to Hideki's body. Hideki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Hideki closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McWeakhands to the mat! McWeakhands manages to get full guard.

Hideki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hideki connects with a couple of short punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hideki won't allow McWeakhands to sweep him here.

Hideki got a little sloppy there for a moment and McWeakhands has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hideki has managed to get both his arms back between McWeakhands's legs - danger averted.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hideki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

McWeakhands escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hideki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hideki throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McWeakhands works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hideki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hideki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McWeakhands swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McWeakhands looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hideki working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Hideki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hideki wants to control from the top but McWeakhands keeps moving.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hideki's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McWeakhands has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hideki is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McWeakhands.
McWeakhands is trying to control Hideki's posture but Hideki avoids it.
McWeakhands is looking to reverse the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McWeakhands takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
McWeakhands is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hideki asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Hideki trying to control the action but McWeakhands is working from the bottom.

Hideki moves into full mount!
McWeakhands in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
McWeakhands taking shots to the head.
Hideki lands a big shot there that rocks McWeakhands but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hideki lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McWeakhands is looking to get to half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hideki cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
McWeakhands is desperately trying to improve his position but Hideki has a good base and remains in mount.
Hideki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McWeakhands tries to lock up and control but Hideki gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hideki prevents McWeakhands from getting the reversal.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hideki lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hideki lands a couple of good shots and McWeakhands has given up his back, trying to escape the position!


McWeakhands is rocked!
Hideki lands a series of strikes from the back and McWeakhands goes limp! The ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Masaru Hideki!
During a confident post fight interview, Masaru Hideki thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
