The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beacon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bigsby quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Beacon looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Beacon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bigsby keeps working.
Bigsby is trying to get back to full guard.
Beacon trying to pass the guard but Bigsby defending well.
Beacon is keen to just control but Bigsby is a slippery customer.

Bigsby is doing well to control the position and prevent Beacon from advancing to side control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Will Beacon wasn't active enough on the ground.

Bigsby tries to sprawl but Beacon drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bigsby tries to kick Beacon off but Beacon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Beacon trying to control from half guard but Bigsby is working away.
Beacon wants to free his trapped foot but Bigsby is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Bigsby keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Will Beacon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Bigsby throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beacon's waist but Beacon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bigsby off to one side.
Bigsby tries to clinch but Beacon moves out of range.

Beacon tries to free his leg and advance position but Bigsby is retaining full guard.
Beacon wants to get up but he can't break Bigsby's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Bigsby keeping moving, preventing Beacon from controlling successfully.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bigsby is looking to cinch up a triangle. Beacon throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bigsby's body to avoid the submission. Bigsby has instead reached around Beacon's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bigsby arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

A relieved looking Scott Bigsby thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
