Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Graham Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Graham Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mendes was well out of range. Poor timing from Frost.
Mendes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Frost swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mendes lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Mendes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Frost tries for a takedown but Mendes manages to get underhooks.

Frost pulls guard successfully.
Mendes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Frost keeping moving, preventing Mendes from controlling successfully.
Frost really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Frost bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mendes's guard.

Mendes isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Frost stacks Mendes on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Frost!

Frost stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Frost fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mendes throws a series of punches but Frost avoids them all with ease.
Mendes doesn't manage to clinch there - Frost circles away.
Frost fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Graham Frost. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mendes tries to close the distance and clinch but Frost swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mendes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Frost's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mendes tries to break the clinch but Frost is controlling the position.
Frost is trying to pull guard but Mendes has him pressed against the cage.
Mendes is pressed up against the cage. Frost has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mendes down to the mat. Mendes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Frost misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A right-left combo lands from Mendes.

Frost fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Frost darts in and clinches Mendes up against the cage.
Frost keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mendes's efforts to push away.
Frost changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mendes fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Frost throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mendes's waist but Mendes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frost off to one side.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Mike Mendes will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Mendes closes the distance and clinches.

Frost successfully pulls guard.

Frost escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mendes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Frost manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mendes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Frost trying to control but Mendes is having none of it.
Mendes holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Frost tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Frost sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Frost trying to control but he's not successful this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Graham Frost wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Frost shoots for a double leg takedown but Mendes sprawls well. He's pushed Frost's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mendes tries to clinch there but Frost circles away.
Frost tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mendes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Frost looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mendes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Frost is working for takedown but Mendes is calmly controlling the position for now.
Nice body punch from Mendes - that landed with a thud.

Frost manages to pull guard.
Mendes won't allow Frost to sweep him here.

Frost thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Mendes wants to control from the top but Frost keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Frost is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frost has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mendes after a bit of a struggle.
Mendes stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Mendes jumps guard but Frost stands there with Mendes around his waist. Mendes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Mendes tries to break free but Frost pushes him back against the cage.

Mendes gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mendes trying to control the position but instead, Frost has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mendes into the cage.

Mendes scores with a hook to the body.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Frost fails to pull guard.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Frost.

Frost gets control of Mendes's arms and successfully pulls guard. Frost will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Mendes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Frost has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mendes has managed to get both his arms back between Frost's legs - danger averted.

Mendes swats away the attempt to clinch by Frost.
Frost tries to move into range but Mendes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Graham Frost showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Frost has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
