Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Burt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaka De Virgem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Virgem misses with a two punch combination.
De Virgem scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The fight stays on the outside here - Burt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
De Virgem just misses with a punch to the body.
Burt slips under a jab from De Virgem.
A big left from De Virgem misses.
De Virgem looks to land a combination but Burt avoids it well.

Burt stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Burt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. De Virgem tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Burt is in De Virgem's guard.

Burt decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
De Virgem stalks Burt and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Burt's face. Burt staggers backwards, shaken.

Burt closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Burt decides to stand back up. Burt steps back and let's De Virgem get back to his feet.

Burt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging De Virgem to the ground. Burt is now in De Virgem's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Burt stands and throws De Virgem's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Burt has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Shaka De Virgem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Burt moves into range and clinches up with De Virgem.
Burt keeps the fight in the clinch, despite De Virgem's efforts to push away.
De Virgem is looking to break free of the clinch but Burt has double underhooks.

Burt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Burt tries to clinch up.
Burt throws a solid leg kick but De Virgem takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Burt.
Shaka De Virgem is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Burt clinches up with De Virgem and pushes him back against the cage.

De Virgem throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
We've been informed that De Virgem has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Burt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into De Virgem's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Virgem wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Burt manages to pass to side control.

De Virgem takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

De Virgem really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
