Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Goranov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dane Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Goranov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dane Kane's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Goranov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dane Kane!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goranov feints and then cracks Kane's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kane down.
Goranov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kane paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Goranov is looking to clinch but Kane is avoiding it.
Kane throws a head kick but Goranov moves out of range.
Goranov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kane defends it nicely.
Goranov wants to clinch.

Kane closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Goranov's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goranov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goranov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Goranov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kane is aware though and is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kane won't allow Goranov to get back to his feet.

Kane throws a strike but Goranov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Goranov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kane is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Goranov defends well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goranov stands up over Kane, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Goranov drops back looking for a leg! Kane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kane manages to kick Goranov off! Goranov jumps back into Kane's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goranov chips away with some ground and pound.

Goranov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kane, up you get!
Kane throws a push kick but Goranov slaps the foot to one side.
Kane swats away the attempt to clinch by Goranov.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Kane counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kane drops down looking for an ankle pick but Goranov pulls his leg out and moves away.

Goranov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Kane tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Kane is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Goranov postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Kane badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Goranov around the waist but Goranov pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Goranov is the winner by TKO! Goranov jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
