Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Lisser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carwin comes to the cage accompanied by Mama Said Knock You Out. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Carwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Lisser!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin takes a jab right on the kisser.
Matt Lisser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lisser tries to clinch but Carwin is having none of it.
Lisser blocks a low kick nicely.
Lisser tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Carwin swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Lisser has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Carwin is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Carwin shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lisser looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Carwin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lisser circles away quickly and effectively.
Carwin throws a lazy right hand but Lisser sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

It looks like Matt Lisser has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Lisser counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Carwin's guard now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Carwin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lisser trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Lisser throws a big elbow that misses.
Carwin controlling the position.
Lisser looking to sit in guard and control but Carwin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Carwin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Carwin is looking to work some ground and pound but Lisser has wrist control.

Carwin wants to get up but he can't break Lisser's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Lisser wants to sweep here but Carwin controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lisser wants to land a leg kick but Carwin is out of range.
Carwin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lisser is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lisser shoots for a takedown but Carwin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Carwin looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Carwin looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Carwin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Shane Carwin has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Lisser throws the left hand but Carwin avoids the punch easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lisser clinches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lisser wants to break free but Carwin has control.

Carwin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carwin clobbers Lisser with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Lisser fails with the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Matt Lisser will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Matt Lisser's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Lisser shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Carwin throws the left hand but Lisser avoids the punch easily.
Lisser doesn't manage to clinch there - Carwin circles away.
Carwin throws out a loose jab but Lisser uses good head movement to avoid it.

Lisser clinches up against the cage.
Lisser lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Lisser misses with the head strike.

Carwin breaks the clinch.
Lisser tries to clinch but Carwin is having none of it.

Carwin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lisser lands a shot to the body.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lisser lands with a right to the head.
Carwin is looking to control Lisser's arms but Lisser gets an underhook and turns him. Now Carwin has his back to the cage.

It looks like Shane Carwin has been cut.

Lisser keeps control of Carwin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Carwin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Lisser tries to pull guard but Carwin forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Lisser drags the fight down to the ground.
Lisser looking for a sweep. Not yet Lisser, not yet.
Carwin trying to control but Lisser is working from the bottom.
Lisser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lisser can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carwin controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Shane Carwin just wasn't active enough.
Carwin lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Carwin misses with a straight right.
Carwin lands a head kick. Lisser smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lisser tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Carwin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Carwin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Carwin takes the fight into the clinch.
Carwin throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Carwin pushes Lisser back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lisser digs a right hand into Carwin's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Carwin's gas tank.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Carwin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lisser is proving hard to escape from.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Shane Carwin wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Lisser instigates a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Lisser.
Carwin working hard to break the clinch.
Carwin tries to break free but Lisser pushes him back against the cage.
Carwin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lisser blocks it with crossed arms.

Carwin breaks the clinch.
Carwin misses with a two punch combination.
Lisser throws a nice looking combination but Carwin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shane Carwin is winning the standup battle so far.
Lisser shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carwin as he jumps to the side.
Shane Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Lisser.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lisser moves in looking to clinch but Carwin pushes him off.
No luck for Lisser with that takedown attempt.
Lisser ducks under a wild hook from Carwin.
Carwin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lisser tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Carwin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lisser fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carwin avoids it really well and circles away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carwin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Carwin moves into the clinch successfully.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Carwin lands a body punch in the clinch.
Lisser is breathing heavily.
Lisser is trying to push Carwin away but Carwin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Carwin lands with a right to the head.
Carwin stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shane Carwin dominated that second round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Carwin scores with a push kick.
Lisser slips a jab from Carwin.
Carwin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lisser's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carwin tries to bum rush Lisser with a series of wild strikes but Lisser uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Carwin cracks Lisser with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lisser looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Carwin finish him?


Lisser is rocked!
Carwin lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Lisser - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Carwin!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shane Carwin!
In his post fight interview, Shane Carwin gave a big smile as he said 'Do you quack? Do you quak like a duck when you suck!!! Hey after party at my place- I need a blow job!!! Gina!! I know your out there come on baby!!!!'.
