Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between French Toast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toast's entrance music is EAZY-E - Real Muthaphuckkin' G's. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, French Toast!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Mendez!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mendez wants it to stay on the feet.
Toast with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Mendez looks to land a body kick but Toast moved away.
Mendez looks for the body kick but Toast saw that one coming.
Mendez misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mendez throws a push kick but Toast slaps the foot to one side.
Toast scores with a jab to the body.

Tony Mendez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Toast is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Toast throws a lazy right hand but Mendez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Mendez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Toast feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Toast working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Mendez wants to sweep here but Toast controlling him for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Toast has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Toast lands a couple of elbows.
Toast slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Toast throws an elbow but Mendez slips to the side and avoids it well.
Toast connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Mendez some visible discomfort.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Toast wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mendez keeps working.

Toast works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Toast laying and praying for a moment but Mendez takes advantage and regains half guard.
Toast is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Toast is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Toast has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

French Toast dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Mendez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like French Toast has been cut.
Mendez feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Toast's calf.
Toast shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mendez throws a body kick that misses.
Mendez connects with a solid leg kick.

A big head kick from Mendez and Toast is sent sprawling to the canvas!


Toast is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mendez is in close to Toast's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Oh Toast is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mendez is pushing down on Toast's leg trying to pass to half guard. Toast is fighting to maintain full guard but Mendez has managed to sneak the leg through.

Mendez is taking a breather. Toast says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tony Mendez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Whack! Mendez lands a heavy head kick that drops Toast. The ref tackles Mendez to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Toast was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Tony Mendez!
As Tony Mendez got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Hey guys, I wanted to thank you all for the time and love. I didn't want to retire without fighting Toast. So, this was my last fight. Thank you very very much!'.
