Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ragna Kisaragi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ragna Kisaragi!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kisaragi shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Kisaragi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kisaragi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Smith looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kisaragi's guard.

It looks like Ragna Kisaragi has been cut.

Smith lands a head kick that stumbles Kisaragi and the fighters go to the mat.

Kisaragi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smith gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith wants to stand but Kisaragi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Smith throws a front kick aimed at Kisaragi's knee but Kisaragi avoids it well.

Nice defenses there by Kisaragi.
Smith displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kisaragi throws out the jab.
Smith lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kisaragi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Smith throws a right and a left that both miss.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.

Kisaragi shoots in but no luck this time.
Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kisaragi.
A big head kick from Smith and Kisaragi is sent sprawling to the canvas!

That has opened up Ragna Kisaragi's cut even more.
Smith wants to stand but Kisaragi is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kisaragi keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kisaragi is working an open guard so Smith takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Smith throws a leg kick which misses Kisaragi's front leg but catches the back leg as Kisaragi tries to avoid it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice inside leg kick there by Smith. That's going to slow Kisaragi down.
Smith throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Kisaragi stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Smith follows into mount!
Kisaragi is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
