PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sub Position (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Camatta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Sub Position!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Camatta!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Position slaps away a takedown attempt from Camatta, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Position fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Camatta to the ground. Position is now in Camatta's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Position wants to control from the top but Camatta keeps moving.

Camatta is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Position is aware though and is defending well.

Position slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Position postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Camatta is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Position, into his guard.

Position wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Position throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Camatta escapes and throws Position's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Camatta is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Position knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Camatta has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sub Position.
Position throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Camatta's waist but Camatta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Position off to one side.

Sub Position has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Camatta.

Position wants to control but Camatta is keeping him busy.
Camatta tries to bench press Position off him but Position keeps the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Position goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Camatta rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Position's guard! Nice work there by Camatta!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Position is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Camatta is just riding it out for now. Position eventually gives up the hold.

Position is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Camatta is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Camatta has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
