Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Baging Roner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Jordan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jordan moves away.
Roner throws out a loose jab but Jordan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Roner's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Roner duly obliges.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roner.
Roner scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Roner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Jordan wants to stand up but Roner is controlling him.

Jordan wants to get up but he can't break Roner's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jordan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jordan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Roner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Roner closes the distance and clinches up with Jordan, looking for a takedown. Roner pushes Jordan against the cage but Jordan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jordan doesn't manage to clinch there - Roner circles away.

and Roner counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Jordan darts in trying to clinch
and Roner counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Roner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Roner misses with a jab, cross combination.
Roner works over Jordan's head and body with a nice combination.
No luck for Roner with that takedown attempt.

and Roner counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jordan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jordan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

and Jordan counters with a nice leg kick.
Roner is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

and Roner counters with a series of strikes. Jordan will be more careful next time no doubt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Roner counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Roner.
Jordan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Roner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jordan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Roner's face.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Roner is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jordan trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Jordan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Despite being in the dominant position, Frank Jordan just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Jordan counters with a big head kick but Roner shrugs it off.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Baging Roner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Roner throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Jordan counters with a head kick. That will keep Roner thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Frank Jordan will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Roner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Roner throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Roner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Roner tries to get out of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jordan takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Roner throws a left and a right that both miss

and Jordan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Jordan is trying to control the action in half guard but Roner is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Roner is refusing to be controlled, as Jordan sits in half guard.
Jordan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Roner throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Roner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Jordan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jordan looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Roner moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

A telegraphed right hand from Roner misses the target.
Roner throws a series of punches but Jordan moves out of range.
Jordan tries to clinch there but Roner circles away.

and Jordan counters by moving into the clinch.
Roner takes a knee right on the jaw!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Roner drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jordan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Roner tries to stall but Jordan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Roner prevents a takedown attempt there.

Frank Jordan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jordan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
