Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clark Channell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 24 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tony Jaa!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Channell tries to bum rush Jaa with a series of wild strikes but Jaa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A telegraphed right hand from Channell misses the target.
Clark Channell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Channell connects with a right hand. Jaa shakes it off.
Channell lunges at Jaa with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jaa's hand.
A punch combination from Channell misses.
Jaa takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Channell has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Elite MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Channell connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jaa. Jaa circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Channell loads up on a big right hand but Jaa slips the punch.

Channell scores with a takedown into Jaa's guard.
Channell landing some decent shots from guard.

Channell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Channell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Channell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jaa keeping full guard, as Channell tries to pass.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Channell with a nice head shot there.

Channell lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Jaa is trying to keep Channell in close.
Channell is working Jaa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Jaa has Channell pulled in close to control his posture.
Channell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Channell trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Channell advances to half guard.
Channell passes to side control.

Channell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jaa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jaa tries to bench press Channell off him but Channell keeps the position.

Channell is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jaa is trying to escape and Channell transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jaa is forced to tap! Nice work there by Channell! Very nice indeed!
