Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ascx manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Alvarez lands a couple of elbows.
Alvarez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ascx works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Alvarez is working Ascx over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Alvarez working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ascx's head.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alvarez scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Alvarez postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Alvarez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Alvarez won't allow Ascx to sweep him here.

Alvarez is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Ascx is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alvarez postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Ascx covers up, he's hurt! Alvarez keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Alvarez and the ref steps in to end the fight! Alvarez can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
