Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Soren Kierkegaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Travis Knight enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Soren Kierkegaard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Travis Knight!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight misses with a low kick.
Knight shoots in for a takedown but Kierkegaard shows good takedown defense.
Kierkegaard tests Knight's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Knight is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kierkegaard sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kierkegaard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Travis Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knight shoots in but no luck this time.
Soren Kierkegaard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Knight.
Knight shoots in looking for a takedown but Kierkegaard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Knight's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Knight shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kierkegaard but Kierkegaard pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kierkegaard looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Knight closes the distance looking to clinch
and Kierkegaard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Knight clinches with his opponent.

Kierkegaard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Knight walks into a left hand.
Knight jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Knight fails in his attempt to clinch.
Knight changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kierkegaard tries to avoid it but Knight manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kierkegaard to the ground. Kierkegaard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Knight motions for Kierkegaard to come forward. Knight throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Knight tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kierkegaard counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Knight shoots in looking for a takedown but Kierkegaard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Knight's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kierkegaard is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Decent striking displayed by Kierkegaard there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Knight looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kierkegaard!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kierkegaard manages to work his way to half guard, despite Knight's best efforts.
Kierkegaard manages to get to full guard.
Knight won't allow Kierkegaard to sweep him here.

Knight trying to control but Kierkegaard is working from the bottom.
Kierkegaard is looking to sweep but instead, Knight has passed into half guard.
Kierkegaard regains full guard. Nicely done.
Kierkegaard keeping full guard, as Knight tries to pass.
Kierkegaard tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Knight has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kierkegaard is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kierkegaard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kierkegaard keeping moving, preventing Knight from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Travis Knight.
Knight takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kierkegaard is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Knight shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kierkegaard counters with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Soren Kierkegaard dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kierkegaard moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
A head kick misses from Knight.
Some wild striking there from Kierkegaard.
Knight doesn't manage to clinch there - Kierkegaard circles away.
No luck for Knight with that takedown attempt.
Knight swings widly with a right hand
and Kierkegaard counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Knight throws a head kick that misses.
Knight moves forwards but Kierkegaard connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Knight looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kierkegaard bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kierkegaard cracks Knight with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


Knight is rocked!
Kierkegaard staying out of range there.
Knight throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kierkegaard counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Knight off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Kierkegaard follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Knight was out before he hit the floor.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Soren Kierkegaard!
