PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noongar Fella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omi Yusura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fella comes to the cage accompanied by The Monster. Omi Yusura told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yusura shoots in for a double leg but Fella sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fella fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Yusura is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fella sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fella avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fella lands a left and a right that send Yusura crashing to the mat, dazed. Fella thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Omi Yusura has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Yusura is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Yusura shoots for a double leg takedown but Fella sprawls well. He's pushed Yusura's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Noongar Fella has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omi Yusura.
Yusura on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Fella drops Yusura with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Yusura looks back up at him and smiles so Fella waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Yusura is rocked!
Yusura leaves his chin hanging out and Fella seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Yusura crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Noongar Fella!
After winning the bout, Noongar Fella thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
