Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Timbo Styless (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kent has chosen Rooster by Alice In Chains as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus Kent!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Styless shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kent as he jumps to the side.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kent checks a leg kick.
Kent tries to clinch but Styless is having none of it.
Kent is looking to clinch.
Styless feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kent's calf.
Kent throws a head kick that misses.
Kent with a poor takedown
and Styless counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kent!
Styless avoids the head kick by Kent.
Kent wants to clinch up but Styless keeps it at a distance.

Kent shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Styless napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Styless manages to get back to half guard.
Kent wants to take a breather but Styless is having none of it.
Styless is trying to get back to full guard.

Kent is trying to work for a kimura but Styless is defending well.
Styless trying to control but Kent postures up.
Styless is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kent's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kent's back!

Styless is persistently looking for the submission but Kent is defending it well.

Styless is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kent knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kent for a finish.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Styless is trying to stick to Kent's back but Kent is turning into Styless. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Styless's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kent.

Styless had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kent defends it easily.

Styless has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kent doesn't defend quickly enough and Styless has managed to lock this one up! Can Kent escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Styless on a fantastic submission victory.
