Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Carvalho feints and as Garcia raises his hands in defense, Carvalho changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Carvalho is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garcia tries to sprawl but Carvalho drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Carvalho lands a nice short elbow.

Carvalho is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Garcia is just riding it out for now. Carvalho eventually gives up the hold.
Carvalho seems to be working for a kimura but Garcia defends the submission attempt.

Garcia pushes Carvalho off but Carvalho dives into side control.
Carvalho has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Garcia is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Carvalho yanks on the arm and Garcia is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Carvalho.

A determined Fabricio Carvalho didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
