A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Merker Junior is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jones can't fight it off and eventually Merker Junior manages to take the fight to the floor. Jones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Merker Junior stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones looking for a guillotine here but Merker Junior defends easily.
Merker Junior passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Merker Junior staying calm.
Merker Junior is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jones looks calm but he's in trouble here. Merker Junior gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jones is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Merker Junior lets go of the hold and Jones can pop his arm back in it's socket.
