The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabonero shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sepulveda pinned against the cage. Sepulveda gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jabonero defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sepulveda .
Justin Sepulveda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jabonero closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sepulveda circles away.

Sepulveda shoots in and bounces Jabonero off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Sepulveda thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sepulveda is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jabonero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sepulveda . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sepulveda drops back looking for a leg! Jabonero is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jabonero manages to kick Sepulveda off! Sepulveda jumps back into Jabonero's guard.
Sepulveda passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Sepulveda has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jabonero is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sepulveda yanks on the arm and Jabonero is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sepulveda .
