Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin has chosen DX as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Urijah Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Griffin.
Lee is looking to clinch.
Griffin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Griffin throws a hook but Lee avoids it easily.
Griffin misses with a looping right.

Lee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Check out the look on Lee's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Lee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lee stands up and beckons Griffin to his feet.

Lee wants to control but Griffin is keeping him busy.
Lee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Griffin is looking for a sweep.
Griffin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lee's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Griffin keeps working.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Griffin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nice jab there from Griffin.
Griffin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Griffin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lee tries to move to mount but Griffin blocks the move with his legs.
Griffin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Griffin is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lee connects with a nice short shot to Griffin's temple.
Griffin gets full guard.
Lee won't allow Griffin to sweep him here.
Griffin throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Griffin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Griffin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Griffin looks gassed!

Lee drops back, looking for a kneebar! Griffin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Griffin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Griffin!

Lee tries to buck Griffin off but Griffin is having none of it.

Griffin has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Griffin lands with an uppercut that bounces Lee off the cage and back into rage.
Lee takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Griffin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Griffin is retaining full guard.
Griffin wants to sweep but no luck.
Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Griffin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lee slips nicely into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lee lands a nice short elbow.
Griffin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lee.
Lee uses his free foot to push down on Griffin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Griffin.

Lee has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Griffin's face.


Griffin is rocked!

Lee working for a submission but Griffin is keeping him at bay.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lee has hold of Griffin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Griffin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Griffin is trying desperately to improve position.
Lee looking to control and managing it successfully.
Lee throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Lee working the ground and pound effectively.
Lee lands with some strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Griffin is still in real trouble! Can Lee finish him?
Lee lands a nice shot to the head.

Lee stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Lee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Griffin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jordan Lee dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Lee decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Griffin's guard.
Griffin throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Lee throwing strikes but missing.

Griffin seems to have recovered his senses.

Griffin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lee stacks Griffin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lee!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lee is keen to just control but Griffin is a slippery customer.

Griffin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jordan Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lee looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Lee is trying for a kimura here. Griffin looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Lee wins by kimura!
