Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Paul Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filip Nocon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filip Nocon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Paul Fish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Filip Nocon!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nocon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fish manages to avoid it.
Nocon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fish was well out of range. Poor timing from Nocon.

and Fish counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fish throwing shots but Nocon is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nocon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fish tries to avoid it but Nocon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fish to the ground. Fish escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fish displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nocon throws out the jab.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Fish here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
