The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Polniy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rottie, pushing him back against the cage.
Rottie tries to throw a body punch but Polniy avoids it by throwing Rottie back against the cage.
Rottie doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Rottie can't find room to land a body shot as Polniy controls the action.
Polniy blocks a body shot from Rottie.
Polniy goes for a takedown attempt but Rottie pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Polniy shoots in but no luck this time.
Rottie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rottie is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Polniy.

It looks like Shoney Rottie has been cut.
Rottie fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Polniy on the side of the head.

It looks like Pizdets Polniy has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Polniy.
Shoney Rottie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pizdets Polniy.

Rottie sends Polniy crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Rottie is motioning to the referee to let Polniy up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Polniy tries to clinch up but Rottie circles away and keeps his distance.
Polniy shoots in for a takedown but Rottie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Polniy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Polniy lands in his opponent's guard.
Rottie on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rottie tries to get out of the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Polniy trying to control the position from guard on top but Rottie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Polniy landing some decent shots from guard.
Rottie controls Polniy momentarily but Polniy frees himself.
Rottie has his hands on Polniy's head, controlling the position.
Rottie is trying to control the position but Polniy postures up.
Rottie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Polniy on the ground.
Rottie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Polniy manages to get himself to full guard.
Rottie would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Shoney Rottie just wasn't active enough.
Polniy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pizdets Polniy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Polniy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Polniy takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Polniy.
Rottie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Polniy looks to land a combination but Rottie avoids it well.
Polniy gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Rottie gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Polniy is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Jumping up and down and very excited, Shoney Rottie waved his t-shirt featuring high-performance gak's logo in front of the cameras.
