PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georg Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Overkill kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fabricio Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Georg Scott!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Scott.

Silva tries to keep at a distance but Scott has taken the fight into the clinch.
Scott with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Silva takes an elbow to the temple.

It looks like Fabricio Silva has been cut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Scott takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Scott prevents a takedown attempt there.
Scott pushes off an throws an elbow but Silva leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Scott pulls guard effortlessly.
Silva pushes down on Scott's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Silva is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Silva is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Scott doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silva.

Scott is in trouble now - Silva has advanced to mount!
Scott stops Silva from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Scott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Scott is on top in guard.

Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Scott manages to get himself to full guard.
Scott is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Silva passes Scott's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva is trying to work for a kimura but Scott is defending well.

Scott wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.
Silva has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Scott tries to control the position but Silva now has his back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Scott is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Silva off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva is working for a rear naked choke. Scott is not defending it well and Silva has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Scott refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Scott's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
