The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaver pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reaver. Soul does a little dance to reset his feet.

Reaver cracks Soul with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Reaver buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Reaver closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Soul did well to prevent Reaver getting side control.
Reaver has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Soul is trying to maintain the position but Reaver is very close to passing his half guard.
Reaver is taking a breather. Soul says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Soul is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Reaver scores with a couple of nice shots.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reaver connects with a nice short shot to Soul's temple.

Soul has hold of Reaver's hands but Reaver slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Reaver is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Soul is hurt! He's hurt bad - Reaver fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Soul from any more punishment! Congratulations to Reaver! Great finish!
