Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dino Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trem Bolux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons closes the distance but Bolux moves to the side

and Bolux decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Simmons's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Bolux drops back, looking for a kneebar! Simmons looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Simmons looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Simmons!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simmons is looking to take a break and control but Bolux is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Simmons throws an elbow but Bolux slips to the side and avoids it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bolux can do anything to dispel that myth.

Simmons is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bolux knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The referee asks Simmons politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Simmons prefers to stall for the moment though.
Simmons misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Simmons works to advance to full mount. Bolux defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Simmons is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bolux is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Simmons to the mat. Simmons regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Bolux keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
