The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz misses with a takedown

and Yamaguchi counters by clinching up.
Munoz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Munoz jumps guard and drags Yamaguchi to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Yamaguchi throws a big right hand that misses.
Yamaguchi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Yamaguchi passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Munoz is working to avoid the ground and pound but Yamaguchi connects with a decent elbow.
Yamaguchi landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Yamaguchi lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Munoz down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Munoz tries to improve position but can't.

Yamaguchi scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Munoz to see if he's OK.

A big shot lands for Yamaguchi! That's hurt Munoz! Will he recover? Yamaguchi fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
