Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Phil MaCrackin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Li!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

MaCrackin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Li is trying to break the clinch but MaCrackin is controlling him.
Come on MaCrackin - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Li wants to get back to striking at distance but MaCrackin won't allow it.

MaCrackin breaks the clinch.
MaCrackin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Li scores with a decent looking hook.
Li misses with a wild combination.
MaCrackin ducks under a wild hook from Li.

and MaCrackin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

MaCrackin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Li has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as MaCrackin is landing a low percentage of strikes.

I was talking to MaCrackin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

MaCrackin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Li as he jumps to the side.

Nice takedown defense from Li. No joy for MaCrackin on that attempt.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Phil MaCrackin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

MaCrackin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. MaCrackin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now MaCrackin is on top in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Well, if MaCrackin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Li has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. MaCrackin is working away from the top position though.

MaCrackin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Phil MaCrackin.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for MaCrackin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
