Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Celtics. Matias has chosen Killing In The Name as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a hook but Matias avoids it easily.
Davis looks for a takedown but Matias sprawls well.
Matias takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Matias has Davis up against the cage in a clinch.

Davis has Matias pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Davis pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Matias tumbling to the mat - Davis dives into Matias's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Davis tries to free his leg and advance position but Matias is retaining full guard.

Matias wants to stand and escape but Davis is having none of it.

Davis throws an elbow that misses. Matias uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Davis's guard. Nice move by Matias!

Davis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Matias got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Matias has managed to get both his arms back between Davis's legs - danger averted.

Davis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Matias can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
