The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson works Shuttlesworth's body with a nice hook.
Shuttlesworth tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Patterson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shuttlesworth drops back looking for a leg! Patterson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Patterson manages to kick Shuttlesworth off! Shuttlesworth jumps back into Patterson's guard.
Patterson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shuttlesworth is working Patterson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Shuttlesworth postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Patterson in real trouble here! The ref calls for Patterson to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
