Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Filipe Belo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belo comes to the cage accompanied by Apaga mais não bate. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Filipe Belo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alderson Silva!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belo stuffs the takedown.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Belo tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Belo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva feints and as Belo raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silva has gone for a leg lock! Belo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Silva's guard.
Belo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Belo works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Belo seems to be working for a kimura but Silva defends the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.

Belo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Belo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Silva tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Belo has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Silva is trying desperately to improve position.
Belo working for a submission but Silva is keeping him at bay.
Belo has hold of Silva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Belo is defending against the submission attempts here by Silva.
Silva is looking for a kimura but Belo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Silva to get the leverage.

That was a close round but I would say that Filipe Belo will probably get the nod.
That's time! Belo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Silva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Belo as he avoids it easily.

Belo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

Belo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Belo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Belo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Belo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Silva has escaped the position, nice work there.
Belo is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Silva is trying to escape and Belo transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Silva is forced to tap! Nice work there by Belo! Very nice indeed!
