The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix throws a sloppy head kick
and Hghar counters with a two punch combo.
Hghar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hghar tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hendrix defends well and Hghar ends up having to push Hendrix into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hendrix is trying to trip Hghar. He has hold of a leg but Hghar is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hendrix persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hghar is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Hendrix jumps into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hendrix has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hghar is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hendrix yanks on the arm and Hghar is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hendrix.
