The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlson shoots in for a double leg but Rhodhighes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Rhodhighes is trying to drag Carlson to the mat but Carlson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Rhodhighes darts in looking for a takedown but Carlson gets double underhooks and turns Rhodhighes into the cage.
Carlson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Carlson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rhodhighes fights it off and pushes away nicely.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Rhodhighes. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Carlson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
