Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Myles Sheppard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ty Plate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plate avoids the head kick by Sheppard.
Sheppard tries a low kick but Plate avoids it.

Sheppard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Sheppard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Plate for as long as he can get away with.

Sheppard is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Plate to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Plate shrugs it off.
Plate really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sheppard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
