The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Louvierre checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Petasse looks to score with a jab to the body but Louvierre is just out of range.
Petasse throws a right hand that Louvierre ducks under and follows up with a left that Louvierre also avoids with ease.

Petasse fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

and Louvierre counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Petasse is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Louvierre lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Louvierre got a little sloppy there for a moment and Petasse has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Louvierre has managed to get both his arms back between Petasse's legs - danger averted.

Louvierre is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Louvierre definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Louvierre is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Louvierre is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Petasse has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Louvierre is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Petasse.
Petasse gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Petasse is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Louvierre pulls his head out easily.

Louvierre is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Louvierre winds up and cracks Petasse with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Louvierre lands with a punch from half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Louvierre content to control rather than advance.
Louvierre knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Petasse on the ground.
Petasse is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Louvierre is tapping! Great win for Petasse!
