The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charles tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rodrigues was well out of range. Poor timing from Charles.
Charles fails to land with a series of punches.
Leandro Rodrigues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodrigues is trying hard to land a takedown here. Charles sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rodrigues throws a right hand that Charles ducks under and follows up with a left that Charles also avoids with ease.

Charles jabs Rodrigues right on the nose. Rodrigues blinks but takes it well.

Charles lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rodrigues or not.
Charles comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Leandro Rodrigues has been cut.

Rodrigues has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Oh Rodrigues is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Clinched against the cage, Charles lands a big elbow that drops Rodrigues! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Rodrigues is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
