Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Wessel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Eric Wessel was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wessel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Wessel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dixon tries to avoid it but Wessel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dixon to the ground. Dixon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dixon slips a jab and a cross from Wessel.
Wessel misses with the combination.
Wessel lands a jab-cross combination.
Dixon digs a good body shot into Wessel's ribs.
Dixon misses with a wild body shot.
Wessel throws a predictable looking body shot
and Dixon counters with a two punch combo.
Wessel throws a head kick but Dixon moves out of range.

Dixon lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Wessel moves into range and clinches up with Dixon.

Dixon tries to land knees in the clinch but Wessel avoids the damage to the body.
Wessel has Dixon pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dixon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Dixon is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wessel is keeping busy.

Dixon swings wildly with an uppercut but Wessel uses good head movement to avoid it.

Wessel changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dixon fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Peter Dixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Wessel.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dixon. That's going to slow Wessel down.
Wessel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Wessel can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dixon controls the pace.
