PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marsh comes to the cage accompanied by I need my bike back. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Alves moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Marsh shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alves as he jumps to the side.
Marsh closes the distance and clinches up with Alves, looking for a takedown. Marsh pushes Alves against the cage but Alves circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Alves is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Marsh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Alves but Alves pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Thiago Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alves might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
