Holmes comes to the cage accompanied by Everybody Knows My Name. Valentine is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Downtown Swinga 96 by MOP. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes wants to clinch.

The fighters circling - Valentine throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Holmes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Holmes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Gregg Valentine has been cut.
Holmes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Holmes just misses with a punch to the body.
Valentine gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Holmes counters with a right hand to the body.
Holmes jabs Valentine right on the nose. Valentine blinks but takes it well.
Valentine ducks under a wild hook from Holmes.

Valentine's jab looks to have found its range, popping Holmes under the eye.

Valentine throws a hook to the side of Holmes's head but Holmes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Holmes with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Valentine to score with a decent uppercut.
Holmes looks to land a left hand but Valentine moved out of range nicely.

Gregg Valentine really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that KO Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
