The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahui throws a series of punches but Zen moves out of range.
Kahui scores with a one two! Zen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
We've been hearing reports that Zen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Kahui scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kahui swings away with a body shot that misses
and Zen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kahui is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Nice defenses there by Zen.
Kahui cracks Zen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kahui listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
It looks like Mystic Zen has been cut.
Kahui jabs at Zen's body.
Zen tries to clinch there but Kahui circles away.
Kahui feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Zen sprawling to the canvas! Zen rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kahui finish him?!
Zen is rocked!
Kahui connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Zen covering up! Kahui comes in with a big uppercut and Zen goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Arana Kahui!
Arana Kahui decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
