Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaakko Lahomaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and happi masa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jaakko Lahomaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, happi masa!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

masa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lahomaki takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
masa trying to control the action but Lahomaki is working from the bottom.
masa fails to land a wild elbow strike.

masa tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

masa tries for a kimura but Lahomaki is defending well.
masa blocks the strikes from Lahomaki.

That's one minute gone in the round.
masa tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Lahomaki struggling a bit here.
Lahomaki manages to work his way to half guard, despite masa's best efforts.
masa landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

masa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lahomaki is just riding it out for now. masa eventually gives up the hold.
masa looks gassed!
masa trying to pass the guard but Lahomaki defending well.
Lahomaki flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lahomaki wants to control but masa is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lahomaki wants to improve his position but masa is controlling well.
masa wants to take a breather but Lahomaki is having none of it.
Lahomaki is trying to maintain the position but masa is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
masa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
masa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lahomaki tries to avoid it but masa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lahomaki to the ground. Lahomaki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lahomaki takes the fight into the clinch.

Lahomaki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Lahomaki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lahomaki showed some decent athleticism there.
masa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Lahomaki wants to pass to mount but masa is defending the position.

Lahomaki seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. masa is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
