Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between sweet daddy d (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Makela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makela tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Makela shoots in for a double leg but daddy d sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Makela checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Makela feints and then cracks daddy d's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow daddy d down.
Christian Makela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makela tries to close the distance and clinch but daddy d swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
daddy d connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Makela moves in looking to clinch but daddy d pushes him off.
daddy d changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Makela tries to avoid it but daddy d manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Makela to the ground. Makela escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

daddy d is trying to trip Makela. He has hold of a leg but Makela is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. daddy d persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Makela escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. daddy d gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Makela is working an open guard so daddy d takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

daddy d closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Makela is looking to improve his position but daddy d isn't that keen on the idea.
daddy d could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
daddy d pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
